How can equipment businesses prepare for a changing market? Sharing experience, exploring new solutions and working towards common goals are some of the approaches featured in Issue 30 of Ática Redex’s IMAGINE magazine, published in September 2026.
IMAGINE is Ática Redex’s quarterly magazine, bringing together news from the group, member company profiles, equipment developments and insights into business management. This issue connects teamwork with digital transformation for SMEs, practical applications of artificial intelligence and opportunities emerging across the equipment sector.
As a purchasing and services group for small and medium-sized equipment distributors, Ática Redex encourages businesses to exchange knowledge. IMAGINE offers a closer look at this work through the decisions, projects and people that shape our network.
The editorial by Ángel García-Muñoz, Managing Director of Ática Redex, introduces an idea that runs throughout this issue: a group’s potential depends on its ability to work together.
Under the title “Todavía estamos a tiempo” — “There Is Still Time” — García-Muñoz explores how trust, discipline, mutual support and perseverance apply to business. He asks readers to consider how teams are built and what it takes to turn shared goals into practical action. As he writes: “The best teams are not improvised; they are developed through patience, trust and a long-term vision.”
Within a business network, trust grows through sustained collaboration. Sharing experience, taking part in a joint initiative or contributing technical expertise are all ways to support a project that can benefit the wider membership.
Discipline has a practical meaning too: honouring commitments, coordinating efforts and following through on decisions. Teamwork becomes visible in a willingness to listen, learn and support other businesses facing similar challenges.
The editorial encourages us to consider how much more we could achieve by making better use of our collective capabilities. For an equipment purchasing group, closer cooperation can strengthen supplier relationships, support learning and provide a firmer foundation for joint projects.
“There Is Still Time” is therefore an invitation to get involved. A long-term vision starts with what each business chooses to contribute today: experience, commitment and a willingness to work alongside others.

Artificial intelligence and digital transformation in the equipment sector feature prominently in IMAGINE No. 30. The magazine approaches both from a business perspective: understanding their value, identifying useful applications and applying sound judgement when using them.
The article “¡El emperador está desnudo!” — “The Emperor Has No Clothes!” — examines the gap between expectations surrounding artificial intelligence and its use in everyday work.
For SMEs in the equipment sector, the opportunity lies in identifying tasks and processes that could be improved: managing information, automating repetitive operations or supporting the analysis behind business decisions. Each application requires a clear understanding of the problem and an assessment of the results.
The magazine outlines an Ática Redex roadmap that includes staff training, identifying potential AI applications across departments and continuing the development of ARGOS. It also includes expanding sales of automation solutions such as automated guided vehicles — AGVs — and autonomous mobile robots — AMRs.
These priorities combine ongoing development with training objectives and further applications to explore. They explain the group’s intended direction without suggesting that every initiative has already been completed.
The article encourages businesses to approach technology with curiosity and judgement: learn, test and establish where it delivers a meaningful improvement.
The film section uses Minority Report as a starting point for examining predictions and the trust we place in technological systems.
Within a business, a prediction can help anticipate demand or identify a problem. Its usefulness also depends on the quality of the data, how the result is interpreted and the decision that follows.
The magazine raises relevant questions for any SME adopting artificial intelligence: how are errors detected? Who reviews the conclusions? What happens when a recommendation affects an employee or a customer?
Human oversight and the ability to challenge results are part of responsible implementation. This reflects a principle familiar to equipment professionals: understand the operating conditions before recommending a solution.
The China visit featured in IMAGINE No. 30 brought eight member companies to EP and Heli facilities to explore manufacturing processes and potential business opportunities.
The visits provided an opportunity to see developments in equipment electrification, energy storage, automation and cleaning equipment. Participants also explored large-capacity machines and equipment rebuilding or conversion operations.
Areas considered included lithium batteries, energy storage systems — power banks —, AGVs and AMRs, and goods storage solutions. Seeing these technologies in operation helps members assess how they might fit their equipment sales, rental or service businesses.
The report distinguishes opportunities under consideration from purchases already made. For example, it describes the purchase of cleaning equipment in MB branding and colours, while other areas are presented as opportunities requiring further analysis and development.
The visit illustrates how direct contact with manufacturers can inform future product and service decisions.

The Somos Red section — dedicated to life across our network — explores the journeys of Ática Redex member companies. Their stories show how they manage growth, build customer relationships and learn from the decisions that have shaped their businesses.Somos Red: las empresas y las personas detrás de Ática Redex

The interview with Jordi Vía, founder and owner of Merca-Eleva, and the report on the company’s 25th anniversary offer two complementary perspectives: the decisions that transformed the business and the people who supported its development.
Vía recalls the shift from selling used machinery to equipment rental during the 2008 financial crisis. That decision opened a new chapter for the company and reflects an approach to adversity based on perseverance and the search for new opportunities.
Growth has also changed how the business is managed. In the interview, he discusses the introduction of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central for operations and Power BI for data analysis, providing a clearer view of business performance.
This is a practical example of digital transformation in an equipment business: tools introduced to meet the needs of a growing organisation. The anniversary report adds recognition of the employees, families, customers and partners who have contributed to the company’s 25-year history.
Egara Manutención shares a story of learning and adaptation in the forklift sector. Its experience highlights the value of reviewing decisions and adjusting the company’s offering as market needs change.
Maquicorredora focuses on close customer relationships and advice for agricultural, industrial and construction businesses. Technical support and maintenance sustain a relationship that continues well beyond equipment delivery.
At Sulcate-Peças, spare parts availability and technical knowledge work together to help customers get their machines back into service. Its story underlines the importance of identifying the right component and responding promptly.
The magazine also pays tribute to Manuel Salinero García of Agrosalinero. His legacy reflects a lifetime’s work and the transfer of knowledge and values between generations. It is a story of business continuity rooted in family relationships and care for what earlier generations have built.
The product section introduces the MB telehandler range, with equipment designed for lifting, loading and material handling in agriculture, construction and industry.
The magazine features compact models for confined working areas alongside machines intended for applications requiring greater lift height. This variety provides a starting point for assessing different requirements, including the operating environment, manoeuvrability and load characteristics.

IMAGINE No. 30 explores the more personal side of the network through the story of Eduardo Tortajada and Sergio Sebastián Lázaro, who returned to rallying after sixteen years away from competition.
The report follows their project’s development through to competing in a Hyundai i20 R5 and reveals the collective effort behind PTM Motorsport. The driver, co-driver, mechanics, families, friends and partners all contribute to an undertaking in which preparation matters as much as the competition itself.
Ática Redex is part of that journey through its support for the team. Their story echoes the editorial’s values: trust, consistency, coordination and the ability to overcome difficulties.
It also offers a different perspective on the people within our network. Behind every business are interests, experiences and projects that enrich its shared life.

Issue 30 of Ática Redex’s IMAGINE magazine explores several ways to prepare for the future: learning from fellow members, understanding new technologies, maintaining technical expertise and contributing to shared projects.
Ángel García-Muñoz’s invitation in “There Is Still Time” runs throughout the issue. Building a team takes trust and continuity; moving forward together requires that commitment to become practical cooperation.
